Where should the phone go?

Somewhere it hears the whole room — on an amp, a stand or a music stand, not in a pocket. The stop detector needs to hear the music clearly and the talking clearly.

It missed a stop / it found a stop that wasn't one

While recording, tap Mark a stop now to add one by hand. In a finished rehearsal you can delete a stop from its page. Very short pauses (a count-off, a quick "again from the bridge") are folded into the take on purpose.

The notes are wrong

Tap any note to edit it, tap ⋯ to change who it's for or which song, or add your own with the + field. Rewrite the notes on the rehearsal page rebuilds the notes from the transcripts without re-transcribing, and keeps the notes you wrote yourself.

Which song is this stop in?

While recording, tap the song in Now playing when you start it. Afterwards, tap the song name on a stop's page to change it.

Importing a recording

Tap the ⤓ button next to Record and pick any audio file from Files (m4a, mp3, wav, aiff). It runs the same analysis.

Processing stopped partway

Open the app again; it picks up where it left off. Long rehearsals take a few minutes to transcribe on the phone.

Apple Intelligence

On iPhones with Apple Intelligence turned on, notes are written by the on-device model. Everywhere else a built-in rules engine writes them. Both work offline.
